During this 1.5 years of pandemic and quarantine season, I successfully spent money on some random (and cheap) things for my ... I don't know, pleasure? distraction from stress? happiness? or the effort to seek for new skills or hobbies? etc etc.
I don't think any of that succeeded except the books and oven (yes I did some simple baking forced by Mama cz oven was expensive so we can't let that be a waste).
I bought an oven (yes, new electric oven), some baking stuff, some random kitchen stuff from a milk froather for my (dalgona) coffee, kitchen wallpaper, dining table waterproof cover, even pegangan sendok nasi wkwkwk.
Besides, I also bought tons of books (nope, no new book this year yet due to wedding prep but last month I did preorder a new Dee's book for August arrival), got a complete painting set from my friend, bought a crocheting tools like that big needle(s) and yarn, bought a yoga mat (initially hoping) for a routine exercise, bought some random unofficial PC games (sorry not sorry), I did spent money on Candy Crush, Hay Day, and some other brain games tho hoping it can be a routine brain exercise lol. But. I just got bored. Very, VERY easily.
I actually did make two super simple paintings, joining my sister to do routine exercise sometimes, and even taught my sister how to make a simple flower crochet, also married a girl in Harvest Moon (be calm, this one is the original game, using my husband's steam account lol), but that's it. None of those hobbies keep myself fired up. I mean yeah I felt fired up in the beginning, but only for... what, 2-3 days, 1 month at best (for Harvest Moon).
Of course I understand consistency is key, but that's what I don't have in me, or not yet, I don't know.
But instead of giving up, I still try to look for another new activities hahah. Now I'm waiting for my ukulele to be arrived (to complete my sis' kalimba), and also start browsing kindle paperwhite hahaha (still tentative tho because apparently I need a new laptop cry).
Hope my husband can teach me how to brew coffee later on, and also hope I can find another new things to try! Or do you guys have any idea?
